Rock climbing in Belgium

There are many rock climbing areas in Belgium. But before you take your climbing gear and head out to explore them there is some practical stuff to take into account.

⛰ About climbing on Belgian rocks

Belgium is a strange country. For legal reasons to climb Belgian rock, you must be a member of the KBF (the flemish climbing federation) or any other UIAA climbing federation. (You can check whether your climbing federation is a member of the UIAA over here).

If you become KBF member you'll have to select a club. If you chose LUAK in that list you'll receive 5€ discount on your membership. Visit their website at: http://www.klimenbergsportfederatie.be/

Note that for our initiations you don't need to be a KBF member, we arrange a day insurance for the whole group.
